A New Sculpture of St Carlo Acutis Arrives at Our Parish
We are delighted to welcome a remarkable new bronze sculpture of St Carlo Acutis to our church, which arrived on 3 September 2026.
The sculpture was created by Timothy Schmalz, the renowned Canadian sculptor celebrated for his large-scale bronze works depicting religious themes and human dignity. His sculptures can be found in significant locations around the world, including Vatican City.
This beautiful new image of St Carlo Acutis will become a special focal point of devotion in our parish, particularly as we honour Carlo’s connection with our church and celebrate his witness of faith, love for the Eucharist, and devotion to Our Lady.
We invite parishioners, visitors and devotees of St Carlo Acutis to discover the story behind this remarkable sculpture and to join us in welcoming this beautiful addition to our parish.
